1955 Indians Spring Training Photos Shared by Big Tribe Fan
It turns out that fantasy camps held by Major League teams for their most intense fans are a good place to find old photos dating back to the glory years of the Cactus League.
That’s the case with Suzi Adamik, the wife of a fantasy league camper at this year’s Cleveland Indians camp in Goodyear.
In addition to everything you bring along on a trip to sunny Arizona, Suzi had a stack of photos taken by relatives watching the 1955 Indians squad working out at Hi Corbett Field in Tucson.
Her photos included shots of Bob Feller, Herb Score, Al Rosen, Bob Lemon and Larry Doby. She graciously lent them to the Play Ball project where they will be forever a part of the nation’s only collection of Cactus League spring training history.
